AJ Flórido History
We at AJ Flórido are already on the fourth generation of insight and knowledge in the cork manufacturing, being from the beginning a family-owned equity.
It’s an acquired and accumulated experience that dates to madam Margarida, who had a small warehouse near the Port wine cellars location, hence naturally becoming a first choice as a corks’ supplier for the wine cellars.
Next came the business venture with Albino Ferreira da Silva, which had a more comprehensive dynamic. Having created a company in the 1970s with his son António Jorge Flórido, to which they devoted themselves body and soul and with a previously unexplored international expansion strategy, they expanded their business area to cover almost the entire world, focusing essentially on specialising in corks with capsules, thus gaining the trust of their customers, with a concern to be increasingly a partner and not just a supplier. Today, the company continues to be managed by the family, now in its 4th generation of knowledge and passion.
