AJFLÓRIDO HISTORY

We at AJ Flórido are already on the fourth generation of insight and knowledge in the cork manufacturing, being from the beginning a family-owned equity.

It’s an acquired and accumulated experience that dates to madam Margarida, who had a small warehouse near the Port wine cellars location, hence naturally becoming a first choice as a corks’ supplier for the wine cellars.

Then the business followed with the Albino Ferreira da Silva, already with a broader dynamic, having created in the 70’s a company with his son and current CEO, António Jorge Flórido, to whom they dedicate themselves with body and soul and with an international expansion strategy, not previously explored, extending their business area all over the world, essentially focusing on capsulated corks, thus earning the trust of its customers, having the concern of being more and more a partner and not just a supplier.
